BEEFING UP IN 2019
Good news for UKBFF athletes preparing for the season ahead – coverage of the federation's events and athletes will appear in longstanding national bodybuilding magazine The Beef.
Because the UKBFF is part of the IFBB, its athletes already have the opportunity to appear in Muscle & Health, the official IFBB magazine, which is distributed around the world. British IFBB Elite Pro Konnie Slyziut has a major feature in the latest edition.
From now on UKBFF competitors will also have the chance to appear in The Beef.
The magazine, which is sponsored by Time4Nutrition, has covered the UK muscle scene for more than 25 years.
Publisher Alex McKenna is well known in bodybuilding circles: he launched the magazine in 1992 as Muscle News and renamed it in 2001. It now also includes Beef TV.
Muscle & Health and The Beef complement the growing online opportunities for UKBFF athletes.
Besides this website, they can keep up to date with global IFBB news on ifbb.com and eliteproifbb.com in what promises to be a big year.
Besides the IFBB Elite Pro division, which distributed more than $1m to professionals last year, amateurs can compete in international events, such as Diamond Cups, and win points towards the IFBB World Ranking Elite, which awarded $300,000 in 2018.
This year also sees bodybuilding on the programme at many International Olympic Committee events, such as the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima.
