SILVER FOR ADE BISHOP AT IFBB WORLD CHAMPS
Congratulations to Britain’s Ade Bishop for finishing second at the inaugural IFBB Pro Women’s World Championships in China.
Her $3,000 cheque is believed to be the biggest ever won by a British women’s physique competitor.
The world championships in Beijing has a total prize fund of $100,000.
The Chinese IFBB federation paid for her accommodation so it has been quite an adventure.
The silver medal caps an amazing year for Ade, who turned pro by winning the amateur class at the Arnold Classic Africa.
“It was such an incredible experience,” said Ade. “It was a really close run for the top spot but the winner fully deserved it.
“China is a weird and wonderful place but the people are very friendly. I’m looking forward to my offseason now.
“Thanks again to the UKBFF for all of its support.”
