ADE SET FOR $100,000 IFBB WOMEN'S WORLD CHAMPS

Britain's Ade Bishop flies to China today for this weekend's $100,000 IFBB Elite Pro Women's World Championships.

One year ago Ade was an amateur women's physique competitor: but she won the Sugar Classic, which qualified her for the Arnold Classic Europe and Arnold Classic Africa.

She then flew to South Africa for the Arnold Classic Africa in spring and won her class, which qualified her to compete in the pro show, where she placed third.

Now she is set for the experience of a lifetime competing against the best female physiques in the world in an exciting destination.

Ade is a great example of what can be achieved for anyone thinking of competing in Sunday's Sugar Classic in Leicester.

It won't cost a fortune either: “The IFBB and CBBA (Chinese Bodybuilding Association) have paid for our accommodation and are going meet us at the airport,” says Ade.

“Our pictures will be on posters and they're going to take us to see the Terracotta Army and we’ll try see the Great Wall of China as well.”

Ade is the only British woman to have qualified for this year's inaugural IFBB Elite Pro Women’s World Championships – these are proper world championships, with competitors from around the globe.

But our prospects for next year look brighter judging by the quality of new female IFBB Elite Pros crowned at this year's UKBFF British Championships (see photos below).

They are Andrea Corbett (women's physique), Kristie Sanderson (bodyfitness), Alaura Galeru (wellness) and Marta Mila (bikini fitness).

This weekend's World Championships is being held at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing alongside a $25,000 IFBB Elite Pro event, which has classes for classic bodybuilding, men's physique, bodyfitness and bikini fitness.

Another $28,000 IFBB Elite Pro event is being held in Cancun, Mexico, this weekend, with classes for bodybuilding, men's physique, wellness, bikini fitness and bodyfitness.
