ALL SET FOR THE UK NATIONALS!

All-expenses paid trips to international IFBB championships will be at stake on Saturday, when the 2019 season gets underway with the UK Nationals.

First held in 2013, the UK Nationals has become one of the highlights of the calendar because of the incredible opportunities available to winners.

Very, very few UK athletes hold the title 'IFBB World Champion' because competition within the IFBB is fierce and global.

But some Brits will put themselves in with a chance this year by winning at the Civic Hall Bedworth, Warwickshire – and can rest assured knowing they won't have to pay for their flights or hotel to international events.

“We look forward to welcoming athletes this weekend and hope it is the start of a successful season for many,” said UKBFF President Bill Tierney.

The UK Nationals, which includes doping control by WADA, is the first of 15 UKBFF events scheduled this year.

It's going to be a busy year: entries for the first British Championships qualifier in Brighton are coming in quickly and the Ultimate Beginners contest, which doesn't take place until July, already has 50 entries.

Don't forget – unlike most UKBFF competitions, the UK Nationals takes place on Saturday rather than Sunday.

You can enter on the day if you haven't done so already. Registration starts at 9am and the show is due to get underway at midday.
