BRITISH DIAMONDS

Two UKBFF athletes are flying to Poland this weekend to attempt to win IFBB Elite Pro cards.

Bikini fitness competitors Cassie Hunter and Kasia Romanowicz will join hundreds of other leading international amateurs from dozens of countries for the three-day event in Warsaw.

Besides pro cards, Cassie and Kasia will battle to accumulate points towards the 2018 IFBB World Ranking, which will see $300,000 awarded to the athletes that earn the most points in top international amateur events this year.

Diamond Cup events, which are held regularly on the IFBB calendar, give athletes the chance to win pro cards and compete in high quality international line-ups.

It is another example of the opportunities available within the IFBB – a global federation of more than 190 nations.

Last week British men's physique pro Abies Nosa won $1,500 finishing second at the Elite Pro Austria, coming within a whisker of defeating seven-time pro show winner.

Abies had the consolation of qualifying for the World Championships. Ade Bishop has also qualified for the women's World Championships in China.

Next week a 70-strong UKBFF team will fly to Spain for the Arnold Classic Europe.

Back home, this weekend also sees the final qualifier for the British Championships.

Bedworth Civic Hall in Warwickshire will host the event. Tickets will be available on the door.
