The South Coast Championships, held in the naval city of Portsmouth, is one of the highlights of the UK calendar.

Paul Smith, who has promoted the event annually since 2002, always combines quality action on stage with family fun off it.

First and foremost, the event gives competitors the chance to claim the title of south coast champion and earn a place at October's British Championships.

But there is plenty else for the audience to enjoy.

One of the highlights this year is the Funky Photo Booth, where you can win £500 worth of Time4Nutrition products.

All you have to do is have your picture taken in the booth. It then gets uploaded to Facebook and the image with the most likes and shares wins.

There is a bar and restaurant so you can get food and drinks all day. Also, the Time4Nutrition trade stand will have lots of samples and special deals.

Children aged under 16 get in for free if they are accompanied by an adult. There is free facepainting all day and free easter eggs for children who get on stage for a fun posedown.

Registration begins at 9am and the show is due to start at midday.

Portsmouth Guildhall is a huge venue so tickets are always available on the day.

The following classes can register from 9am-10am: junior bodybuilding, junior bikini fitness, junior men's physique, rookie bikini fitness, wellness, rookie men's physique, masters bodybuilding, masters men's physique, intermediate bodybuilding, masters bikini fitness and masters bodyfitness .

The following classes can register from 10am-11.30am: classic bodybuilding, fitness, bodyfitness, open bodybuilding classes, women's physique, bikini fitness, muscular men's physique and men's physique.
