Rasto Valent became the first British competitor to place in the top three and earn prize money at an IFBB Elite Pro show on Sunday. Men’s physique star Rasto, an Arnold Classic Europe and British champion last year, took home €1,000 for his efforts at the Elite Pro Slovakia.

He also claimed qualifying points for this year’s €200,000 World Championships. Fellow Brit Liz Richardson finished fifth in bikini fitness.

Rasto said: ‘I was hoping for first place, but still very happy with top 3. ‘The guy who won was very good. He won the Arnold Classic Europe overall last year and I placed second behind him.

I know where I need to improve so next time I have to bring a bit better package. ‘But I am not feeling disappointed as I won €1000 and they paid my hotel and food as well so I spent only £50 for the ticket to Slovakia.’
