In a phenomenal 15-man line-up, Abies’ shape and structure immediately caught the eye and he was unlucky not to place higher.

But there is surely more to come in 2019 from this outstanding athlete who has made a big mark in his first year as a pro.

The pro event, won by unstoppable Ukranian Dmytro Horobets, was held in conjunction with the amateur IFBB World Fitness Championships, which featured five UK Nationals champions.

In the next few weeks the IFBB will also stage the Women's World Championships in China, world championships for the other male classes and the Juniors and Masters World Championships.
